We are Hiring! Vacancy for 2 Postdoctoral Researchers
We are recruiting two Postdoctoral Researchers with a PhD in Economics or Finance, a strong commitment to research, and prior experience in the areas of Energy and Environmental Economics and/or Empirical Industrial Organization. The positions are funded by the European Research Council Advanced Grant ERC-2023-ADG Project 101142583 — ENERGY-IN-TRANSITION, titled ‘Socio-Economic Challenges and Opportunities of the Energy Transition’ led by Professor Natalia Fabra, as well as the María de Maeztu Grant from Spain’s Agencia Estatal de Investigación (MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033). These positions are for two years, starting in September 2025, with the possibility of extension to a third year.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Contribute to the activities of the research group in the form of research assistance and joint research comparable to a standard teaching load
- Participate in the activities of the research group (seminars, workshop, lunch meetings).
- Further their own research agenda in the area of energy and environmental economics and sustainable finance.
- No teaching duties involved.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Hold a PhD in Economics or Finance (or be close to completing it) from a highly-ranked university.
- Have excellent qualifications as well as outstanding own research focus on empirical tools and programming is highly welcome.
Job conditions:
- Full-time position.
- The job will be based at CEMFI in Madrid/Spain.
- Duration: 2 years, from September 1st, 2025, to August 31st, 2027, with the possibility of extension for a third year.
